The IMEI number is a 15-digit unique identifier for mobile phones. Based on this number, it is possible to track lost or stolen cell phones. You can retrieve your IMEI number in a variety of ways:
1. Dial *#06# on your cell phone
On your cell phone call pad, enter the universal code *#06# and a 15 t0 17-digit number will appear on your phone.
The first 15 digits will be your IMEI number or first 14 digits for MEID.
Note: GSM networks use IMEI numbers. CDMA networks use MEID numbers
2. Look under your battery
Another way is to look under your battery. This method is not recommended as your phone’s casing may have changed due to repair and may not match the IMEI of the phone itself.
